S. Lestringant was born in Marseille and studied business in Paris. She studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Grenoble.
The passion for painting, color, light, allows her to capture the intimacy of things that surround her to return them on her paintings, hoping to share her feelings, a simple and quiet happiness with her children, friends or familiar objects.
S. Lestringant takes us in Provence and on the shores of the Mediterranean where reigns an atmosphere worthy of the Comtesse de Segur’s novels.
Children play on the beach, collect shells, taste on the terrace in summer or disperse birds seeds on the snow of the winter. Model girls frolic in large water basins heated by the sun, while the adults sit on a chair during nap time, or,returning from th market on a bicycle, a crate of figs on the luggage rack. Some still life with fruit, bouquets of flowers, in a watering zinc, anemones in an ivory pitcher or a bun and an apricot jam jarr at breakfast, telling the story of a happy family.
Light shades of hydrangeas or trees are reflected on the floor in front of the orangery or farmhouse with blue shutters.
S. Lestringant proposes a painting while shades of grey, white, ocher and blue.
